| Plastics vs polymers
Plastics are based carbon materials. Also, we call them polymers in regard of their constituting molecules. A polymer is a long molecular chain made of smaller identical molecules. We call also these smaller molecules "isomer". For example, the ethylen is an isomer and the polyethylen is a polymer. So, the polyethylen is a long based carbon molecule constituted of ethylen molecules.
